God Has No Grandchildren

All scripture references, unless otherwise noted, are from the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
Have you ever heard the expression, "God has no grandchildren?" When the Lord Jesus spoke with Nicodemus who the Bible says, "came to Jesus by night,"  He told Nicodemus, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (See John 3:1-8) This was not a polite request of the Lord to Nicodemus, nor to you or I. What Jesus said that day is an imperative. You must be born again of water and of the Spirit to enter the Kingdom of God! Don't be like Nicodemus who only thought of the natural man. The Lord Jesus said in John 6:63  "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." God has no grandchildren!

Do not think that just because you were born into a Christian family, or that you have belonged to a particular church organization that you have a ticket to heaven. "Ye must be born again." The born again experience is briefly comprehended in what Apostle Peter said on the Day of Pentecost. When his hearers, after hearing that they were guilty of the death of their Messiah asked, "...Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (See Acts Chapter 2) I don't think that Peter would have said something contrary to the teachings of the Lord Jesus!

There are perhaps many in the Christian world who would like to believe they will go to heaven one day. Let me quote the Lord Jesus, "Ye must be born again." If you are not, no matter what your heritage may be, be it Jew or Gentile, you will not see or enter God's Kingdom. God has no grandchildren because neither you or I can be saved just because our parents were. They may have indeed repented of their sins and been baptized in Jesus name and received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, as they did on the Day of Pentecost. But their experience, no matter how real, will not save you. You need to experience salvation for yourself.

So if you have never been born again, you have never truly repented of your sins, you have never been baptized in Jesus name to have your sins remitted, you have never received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in another language, just like what happened on the Day of Pentecost. Repent of your sins, find someone to baptize you in Jesus name, be filled with God's spirit. Be born again today.
