What Will Heaven Be Like?

All scripture references, unless otherwise noted, are from the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
The Bible says in 1st Corinthians 2:7-10"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God." The world doesn't know what it will miss when Jesus comes back.  It is a mystery to them but God has ordained it, "...before the world unto our glory." The Bible states that had the princes of this world known Who it was they were crucifying they would not have done it. That reminds me of a song, based on  Isaiah 9:6, the chorus which goes as follows:
He's the Lord of glory He is the great I Am,
He's the Alpha and Omega the Beginning and the End,
His Name is wonderful the Prince of Peace is He,
     The Everlasting Father throughout eternity.

The apostle said "...as it is written..." In Isaiah 64:4 the Bible says, "For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him." According to the Bible we are not given to know these things. The Apostle Paul said in 2nd Corinthians 12:2-4,  "I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." Much can be said and much has been written about these verses but let me tell you of my belief. I believe that the apostle was speaking of himself. I have preached on verse 4 of this passage saying it was not like a speed limit sign but rather things too wonderful to express. In essence Paul did not have adequate vocabulary to talk about what he saw and experienced. Neither do you or I.

It will be wonderful beyond all imagining. It is no wonder then that the Bible says, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Do you love Him? The Lord Jesus wants you to be with Him in that wonderful place called heaven. I used to think that because God is holy and heaven is holy that He wouldn't want a person as unholy as I was to be there. I was wrong! He does want you and I to be there with Him. Oh that doesn't mean we can live an unholy and unrepentant lifestyle. He said in his word that He is not willing that we perish but we do need to repent of our sins and be right with God. (See 2nd Peter 3:9) If we will obey His word and repent, take His holy name upon us in the waters of baptism, He has promised us His Spirit which will make us as holy as He is. I am looking forward to Heaven. I am still waiting for the Lord to come back. There is an old chorus we used to sing, it goes as follows:
     Won't it be wonderful there,
     Having no burdens to bear,
Joyously singing with heart bells all ringing,
Oh won't it be wonderful there.
