...round and round the block, ringing doorbells for my Lord. You probably thought based on the title that I was going to quote the song "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms." The chorus goes on,
wearing out my shoes telling the good news,
ringing doorbells for my Lord.
I don't know who originally wrote these words but it is to the tune of "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms." I heard it while pastoring in Aberdeen, SD. My wife once said if we didn't do the above, we probably should not sing the chorus. We never sang it in church because we never went out ringing doorbells nor did we wear out any shoes. But it is a cute chorus. It would be good for kids to sing and do.
