No Surprises With God

All scripture references, unless otherwise noted, are from the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
James wrote in James 4:13-15  "Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that." If the Lord is willing  we shall go and do, etc. Nothing surprises God. The Bible says of the Lord Jesus in John 2:24-25 that  "...he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man." For, "by Him actions are weighed..." (See 1st Samuel 2:3)

He knows what your motives are. All things are open to God. The Bible says in Hebrews 4:12-13, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do." James 1:17 says    "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."  David wrote in Psalm 139:7"Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?" Where indeed? Nothing ever surprises God!
