Judge Nothing Before the Time!

All scripture references, unless otherwise noted, are from the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
Apostle Paul said in 1st Corinthians 4:3-6"But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another." Paul said that he did not judge even himself! For he knew who would judge him at the last day, the One who justifies during the present day, the Lord Jesus!

It's hard for you and I to not, judge but the Lord Jesus said  in Matthew 7:1 not to judge lest you be judged. (See also Luke 6:37) It would be a terrible thing to be judged according to all the sins I have committed. When Jesus died at Calvary He took upon Himself all of my past sins  (see Romans 3:25) and if I confess my sins, the Bible says in 1st John 1:9b, "...he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  God the Bible says in Acts10:4b that, "...God is no respecter of persons..." In Isaiah 1:18 the prophet quoted God as saying, "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." What hope we have in The Lord Jesus!

God is not willing that we perish but He wants us to repent of our sins. (see 2nd Peter 3:9) We may have sinned much or little, it really makes no difference. The Lord Jesus went to the cross, "...the just for the unjust..." to save us from the penalty of sin. (see 1st Peter 3:18) The Apostle Paul declared in Romans 5:20"...where sin abounded, grace did much more abound..." He followed up in Romans 6:1-2 saying, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" Yet it appears that some think that because they are saved by grace they can sin away. God is the God of love but He is also the God of righteousness. It is only in and through the Man Christ Jesus that God will ever sees us as righteous. When we are outside of the grace and love of the Lord Jesus in our living does God see us as unrighteous.

Friend of mine the righteous God demands repentance from us. The Lord Jesus said in John 15:5b, "...without me ye can do nothing."  I love the song that says, "...I can't even walk without You holding my hand..." We can't repent without the Lord granting us repentance. But the Bible says in 2nd Peter 3:9b that the Lord is, "...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." Will you repent today?
