The Unutterable Love of God

All scripture references, unless otherwise noted, are from the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
This morning my wife and I were talking about God's great love for us. The chorus was in our minds, oh how He loves you and me. It goes as follows:
Oh how He loves you and me,
Oh how He loves you and me,
He gave His life what more could He give?
Oh how He loves you, oh how He loves  me,
Oh how He loves you and me.
I well remember the words that the Lord spoke to me that day in 1965, "You have a choice to make, make Me your Choice." Those words were spoken to me while I was still in my sin in terms that I could only describe as unutterable love. I said to Him that day that if He would help me I would serve Him from that day to the day I die. I said it then and I say it now, going on 55 years later, I meant it then and I mean it now, with His help, I will serve Him from this day to the day I die. His love is truly unutterable.

In  this posting I want to talk about unutterable love of God. The Lord Jesus has loved you and I from all eternity. I do not claim to understand God, but Apostle Paul said, in Ephesians 1:3-4"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love..." I'm talking about the unutterable love of God for us. He told unfaithful Israel in Jeremiah 31:3, "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." How many times I had spurned God's great love for me before I came to know Him, yet He loved me! The incomprehensible love of the Lord Jesus for us!

Another song come to me called , "the Love of God. The first verse and chorus goes as follows:
The love of Jesus to me is greater,
Than anything else I've ever known,
It reaches deeper than any sin stain
It reaches higher than heaven's throne

The love of God is more to me,
Than all the world could ever be,
It reaches down from the throne of Glory,
And sets the vilest sinner free.
It is amazing to me that search as I would, all I really found was the composer's name which is Orvin S. Davis.

The Bible says in Colossians 2:9-10"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power..." Everything that can be known of the incomprehensible God was made manifest in the Lord Jesus. It is no wonder then that Apostle Paul wrote, "...And ye are complete in him..." Jesus is known as the God/Man. He is not one-half man and one-half God but rather was 100% man and 100% God. In that He was man, He was the Man Christ Jesus, the Jewish Messiah and is the Savior of the world. And in that He was God, He was God manifested in the Flesh. (See 1st Timothy 3:16)  I'm glad that I didn't have to become Jewish to approach the throne of grace, (I do however love the Jewish nation) but the great love of God toward sinners was revealed to me through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

My sinner friend, if you feel you were never given the choice as I was, make Him your choice today. You will never be sorry.
